50% of toilets in public buildings worldwide are squat (i.e. a sunken hole in the floor) and in the countryside, depending where, 80-100%. It's the great equalizer where there is no seat for anyone to complain about and people can (and do) whatever they want with whatever genital system they have. And even in a cruddy, rural train stations you're clean because nothing touches anything except the bottom of your shoes which are ALWAYS left outside the home.
