As a former merchant Groupon never panned out. Their cut was too big and customers always wanted the same discount they got the first time. If you didn’t continue to deliver 35% off, which became untenable, you lost them. As a consumer, even understanding this flaw, I still purchased discounted massages from every possible source instead of going back and paying more to someone I liked. Feels shady when money wins over loyalty.
