Don't sell yourself short just because it wasn't "composed" or "professional" or some such crap. You've captured a relevant moment, a feeling of ennui and inertia and a mood of alienation. There are so many contrasts: the fonts and colors tell us "this is fun" yet it feels gloomy; the momentum of the woman with the bags and the inertia of the customers; the Victorian background and the ugly "pole-barn" storefront architecture; even the openness of the restaurant and the "for lease" signs next door are telling. Everything is a clue.
