If you put the word “smile” in front of the url Amazon donates a percentage of everything you buy to the charity of your choice from an extensive list. http://smile.amazon.com makes me feel better when I shop from the behemoth. Also, great return policy.

Yes, I agree you shouldn’t be shown more products you already bought, but there’s always that minute chance that you loved your dishwasher so much you might buy a second for your investment property or give them away at housewarming parties like mints.

As for wrong-box deceptions: that’s Amazon’s fault or the thief’s?

I accept your premise, but I’m not so bothered by Amazon — and currently it’s keeping me away from the infected petri-dish of grody physical stores that also have crappy phone cases.
