I’m 48 and grew a beard for this first time in my life during COVID shutdowns. Took three weeks to get past the itchy phase. Have to dye it every week to match my head. Have to trim it every two weeks or you see the patches. Still have to shave my neck and top of my cheeks every three days or I look like I don’t care about life. Went to a socially distant bbq to reveal the new me — and the other six gents also all sported first-time beards. Damn. But my spouse says I look younger. Worth it.
