Not sure what you think Steve Jobs would be doing with Apple at this point, if he had lived. How many completely bold, never-before-seen-or-imagined ideas is one person (or a company) “expected” to have? Nearly a a dozen revolutionary concepts wasn’t enough? Everyone in Apple Loop is “supposed” to invent more and more and more?
Crayola has been around 120 years and mixes it up with a new color, or retires a color, almost once a decade. And they’re doing fine.
All that’s left, according to sci-fi, is teleportation, miniaturization, interstellar travel and eternal life. You think the man who gave us the iPod would’ve succeeded in those realms? My suspicion is the next life-changing idea from the guy might’ve been as mundane as a completely new way to cook food— and the world would’ve been forever altered.
(Give Apple a break).
