“Only 3.5 hours to the coast” you say? That’s a lot!! We’re 49 minutes from the heart of NYC in the lush and rocky hills of southwest Connecticut with our private acre in the quiet forest. The beach is 15 minutes, TJ’s and all the shops five minutes, anything you could want is nearby in our restaurant-laden, four-distinctive-seasons locale. But venture 3.5 hours north? We’d hit the Berkshires or Lake George in the Adirondacks, going east that far covers all of Boston and Providence and Cape Cod, west to the Poconos and south to Philly and the rebuilt Jersey shore and beyond. We also have three major airports within an hour and three or more regionals as well, so 3.5 hours gets you half the country! Or stay home and hike, bike, swim or do nothing but listen to the birds singing on the deck. That’s my bliss!!

(Not to mention that Bend is currently a part of the extreme drought that is crippling the beautiful west. Oh dear.)
