What a challenge you’ve presented. But I can’t imagine a world where The Kite Runner would supersede The Color Purple, 1000 Days of Solitude, or nearly any book by Toni Morrison. Kite was a fine read, but with so much true literature in the world I’m surprised this tops a reader’s list.
