Where’s the line between being “overly” nice and simply being a good/kind/empathetic person? Now I’m faulted for generating positivity? That loses me respect? Because, yes, I do believe the nice things I say. That’s why I say them—not to garner favors but to be fully genuine in my appreciation of others.
